Telehealth service, which is when you and the Burbank Urgent Care provider talk by video (using something similar to FaceTime), may be an option for you to get care.
Here are the telehealth criteria Burbank Urgent Care uses to set up this type of reservation for you:
You need follow-up advice or help (e.g., refill for non-opioid medication, discuss labs) with our provider.
OR
You need treatment for:
• Covid (already tested positive)
• Pink Eye (also called simple conjunctivitis)
• Sinus Infection
• Acne
• Flare Up of Eczema
• Urinary Tract Infection with NO pain in the Pelvis or Back*
• Insect Bites*
• Sunburn or Skin Rash (from an allergy with no serious concerns or Monkeypox)*
Headaches (if you have a known history of Migraines)
* A follow-up visit to our clinic may be required for diagnostic testing or a physical exam.
1. Confirm that you meet these 2 requirements.
• First, does the reason for your reservation meet our telehealth criteria (see above)?
• Second, do you have a “working smartphone” to receive the telehealth call?
1. You must have a smartphone, no desktop computers.
2. The camera and microphone work and are connected to wi-fi or a cellular network.
2. Answered “Yes” to Step 1? Click Make a Reservation.
• You’ll be able to pick the option for telehealth in the online form. When you see the dropdown box that says Reason for Your Visit, select either: “Telehealth – New Patient” or “Telehealth – Established Patient”.
• You can book a reservation up to 3 days in advance. You’ll get to see the available slots online. Don’t see a time slot that works? Please call to make your reservation.
3. Once you are done with the online reservation form, you’ll get a text or phone call from our clinic (within 1 to 3 hours) confirming the reason for your reservation and to discuss insurance and fees.
4. Five minutes before your reservation, have your smartphone near you so you can click the link to enter the telehealth exam room. Sometimes our providers do run behind so you may wait up to 30 minutes. Please understand we are an urgent care clinic and are committed to delivering the best care to each patient.

Good news. If you cannot find a telehealth reservation available in the next 3 days on our website, then call Burbank Urgent Care to see if we can offer another time slot for you. Please understand you can only call us for a time slot for telehealth reservations. If you want to be seen physically at Burbank Urgent Care, you must either make a reservation online or physically come in to do it.
1. Soon after the reservation is made, you’ll get a call or a text from Burbank Urgent to confirm the telehealth appointment and to confirm that the condition you want evaluated is one the urgent care provider can accurately do via telehealth. Once we verify the reason for the visit and insurance eligibility/payment, you will receive a text link to join the provider in the virtual room. You’ll also be asked to handle any outstanding fees (typically the case if you are a self-pay patient, not using insurance).
2. Have your smartphone at your side as the reservation time approaches. The provider will send you a text when she / he ready. Once you get the text message from Burbank Urgent Care provider, then you’ll click the link so you can meet the provider in the virtual exam room.
You’ll need a working smartphone with a working camera, microphone, and internet connection. We highly recommend you set up your smartphone on a solid surface, such as a table or bookshelf, away from direct sunlight.
Once your provider starts the video call, you’ll have 5 minutes to join. If you don’t join within 5 minutes, we’ll automatically cancel your visit and you won’t be charged. If your visit is canceled, you’ll need to start a new visit to connect with a provider.
You’ll be charged before your video call is complete.
You’ll want to have your smartphone next to you at your reservation time. You’ll get a text with a link. You’ll click the link and join the provider in the exam room. You do not need to download a special app on your smartphone.
Sometimes, our providers do run behind because they are helping other patients. Please give up to 30 minutes from your reservation time. We appreciate your patience.
