Burbank Urgent Care has on-site access to GREAT imaging services.

We do X-Rays. Our X-Ray machine will give a detailed image of your bones and organs so your Burbank Urgent Care provider can determine next steps. Getting the X-Ray images are fast and the machine uses a low dose of radiation. The X-Ray service is available 7 days a week at our clinic. It can be done as part of the urgent care visit.

We do ultrasounds. An ultrasound machine allows the provider to diagnose the causes of pain, swelling and infection in the body’s internal organs. Getting the image is fast and safe – safe for pregnant women, kids, adults, and seniors. It is painless and non-invasive. The ultrasound service is available 7 days a week at Burbank Urgent Care. However, you may have to come back by appointment.

We do CT Scans in our building. A CT (Computerized Tomography) Scan gives your provider a much better view of your body’s structure. It’s pain free and quick. You’ll lay on a table that slides you into the CT Scan; the tube spins around you to take the image based on the doctor’s directions. After the images are taken, a radiologist reviews and writes a report. The CT Scan is available Monday through Friday at specific times at OSS, which is right next door to us.

We do MRIs in our building. A Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is SAFE; it has no radiation and non-invasive. It uses magnetic field energy to take the images of your body’s structure. The benefit of the MRI is the doctor can better determine what’s the detailed condition of the bones, the soft tissues, and muscles. Once in the MRI room, you’ll lay on a table that slides you into the MRI. After the images are taken, a radiologist reviews and writes a report. The MRI is available Monday through Friday at specific times at OSS, which is right next door to us.

Guide: How to get an imaging service at Burbank Urgent Care.

1. Make an online reservation or walk into Burbank Urgent Care.

2. Before you come in, change into loose-fitting clothes. It’s always a good idea to wear garments with the least amount of metal to lower the chances of metal appearing in the image.

3. During the office visit, the provider – either the physician or physician assistant – will first evaluate your health and then tell you if imaging is medically needed and what type of image is the most appropriate. The provider will write the order and then our team will guide you through the steps to access the imaging service.

4. Once you get the image, your Burbank Urgent Care provider will review the image and the report (some require a radiologist to review). Next, either by telehealth or by an in-person office visit, you’ll discuss the next steps for your care.
